When school lets out for the summer, a hidden gap opens up in our community. For many Benicia families, the end of the school year also means the end of reliable, daily school lunches.
Books & Bites is our direct response to that gap. Run in partnership with the Benicia Public Library, this program ensures that local kids don't have to choose between a full stomach and summer enrichment. Every week, families can stop by for free groceries, produce, and family-friendly library resources with no paperwork or income requirements.
